RIDING
We expect to have over 150 horse and riders at Rendezvous... but don't worry... there are plenty of marked trails for short or long back country excursions. A local rancher has given BCHBC permission to use his property, so we can ride right from the rodeo grounds into the mountains. Trails will be marked and there will be local riders who able to lead groups. Don’t forget your cameras! In addition to trail riding, there will be clinics, seminars and demonstrations for you (and your horse) to enjoy.
CLINCS (CONFIRMED)
ACCOMODATIONS FOR HORSES & HUMANS
There are 38 box stalls for rental and a number of large corrals available at the rodeo grounds, plus outdoor arenas for clinics and events. Some of the corals are quite large and will accommodate four horses. If you want a box stall or corral, please be sure to book in advance. Learn more about 100 Mile House.
Since 1994, an ever-growing number of British Columbia equine enthusiasts have loaded horses in trailers and hit the road for an annual weekend Rendezvous in a remote area of British Columbia. The event started as a way to encourage members of the Back Country Horsemen of BC (BCHBC) to attend the association’s annual general meeting, but it has grown to be much more than that.
In May 2012, close to 300 horse enthusiasts and 150 horses are expected to make a pilgrimage from all regions of the province to 100 Mile House, in south-central British Columbia. They will gather to enjoy a weekend of camping, back country horseback riding, friendly competitions, equine education, picture-taking and memory-making. Attendees will run the gamut … from hard-core cowboys with weathered faces, to middle-age women in English riding breeches, seniors, and parents with children of all ages. They will be mounted on horses and mules of all sizes, colours and breeds.

Horses, mules and donkeys are welcome at Rendezvous!
